Martin was an inspiration in his time at Bentley CC helping to create a successful colts section with a real family atmosphere. We fondly remember the Friday night training and socials and the team building trips to the Isle of Wight and Norfolk. RIP Martin you will be sorely missed.

Martin was in the same year as me at St.Bonaventure's school Forest Gate.

We first met Martin as a future father in law for our son Matthew. He was a lovely, funny, considerate and knowledgable man. We only had the pleasure of knowing him for a few short years but he will live in our hearts forever.

It is with great sorrow that I put pen to paper. I have known Martin for more than thirty years. From my time as a young Headteacher I always viewed him as a sage amongst colleagues, a principled man and someone who was a model of professionalism. Over the last few years we spent many enjoyable times together, mainly centred around our shared love of all things cricket. We will all miss Martin terribly but, thank the Lord, we will have many fond memories of him and our time together. Deo Gratias. Rest in Peace. James Johnson
